Big Boat on the Mersey - Ukulele Day
Ferry... cross the Mersey... we present, a day you'll love!
12 AUGUST 2017
Gathering at 10.30 at the originally named 'Liverpool Pub', we'll use our dedicated function room for a good strum and singalong to get us in the mood for the day (with a themed songbook provided - if you're travelling on the day, and miss this bit, there's another chance to play along on Sunday). Then, after an included lunch buffet, we'll take the 5 minute walk to Albert Dock to climb aboard an iconic Mersey Ferry, for a 50 minute tour with commentary.
When we're back on dry land, we'll have chance to visit the Beatles Story, a fantastic museum dedicated to the Fab Four, which is included. Between 5 and 6.30 we'll tour the city on our private coach tour with expert commentary. Once back, you have the freedom of the area's many bars and restaurants (or just go to base, the pub!) to get yourself something to eat while we prepare the evening's entertainment - an 8.30 gig with the League of Ukulele Gentlemen, Dead Mans Uke and Ukulele Uff!
If you're up for it and staying in town, on the Sunday morning, we'll all meet for a strum at the Cavern on Matthew Street too!
Because of capacity on the coaches, tickets are strictly limited in number!
