Big Boat on the Thames - Luxury London Ukulele Experience
Join us for a fantastic, luxury day out in London, cruising the Thames aboard the privately chartered craft, The Elizabethan. With beautiful food, great entertainment and sightseeing built in, this will be a truly capital day out.
At 11.30am we'll meet for a coffee at our dedicated private venue in Covent Garden, settle in with a group workshop, eat a fabulous posh buffet meal (no value sausage rolls here - this is the good stuff!) and enjoy a Big Strum & Singalong with your hosts, The League of Ukulele Gentlemen.
Next, we'll be collected by red vintage London bus for a private, commentated tour of the capital's beauty spots and historic monuments. Our route has been planned alongside an informative and humorous live guided tour from Andy and Matt, which should have you chuckling en route! After our drop off, we'll board our private charter, the steamboat-inspired vessel that sets sail solely for our party.
On the boat we'll be hear from The League of Ukulele Gentlemen with a some new tunes, and then be treated to a performance from the visiting trio, The Lucky Leles, from Germany. Before that though, a fine dining experience on the ship's lower decks, with a sumptuous meal on offer from the onboard chefs. Finally, we'll watch the sun set over the great city of London as we view its graceful landmarks from the river. The full experience is £159. There's an option, if preferred, of the dinner cruise only for £89.
The last time we ran a version of our Big Boat on the Thames, one customer gave us the best quote, 'you guys don't just do ukulele events, you do ukulele life experiences!' And without blowing our trumpet, it really is a cracker this one... something about having a really quite impressive craft all to ourselves as you glide under Tower Bridge - exciting!
This will be a trip of a lifetime, and of course, with it being in London, you can't do it on the cheap. So, instead we've gone for quality and exclusivity, with great food options and everywhere we go, it's our own space. Our own Convent Garden function room, our own vintage buses, our own Thames cruiser! We did find some dinner cruises (with music and a meal) for £155 per person during our research - so we've done our very best to make it worthwhile.
We've no accommodation options this time and this gives you flexibility to make it a longer break, stay somewhere in style, lodge with relatives, or a book a modest B&B, the choice is yours.
