The Uke Express 2018 - Pickering - A Steam Train & Uke Weekend
FOR INFO - THE GIG TICKETS ON SATURDAY ARE NOW SOLD OUT
SATURDAY TRAIN IS NOW SOLD OUT
The Uke Express returns to Pickering on the weekend of the 2nd, 3rd and 4th of November! If you are a Uke Express veteran, read carefully as the railway have made changes - meaning our event is a little different too!
We have chartered reserved carriages aboard two Uke Express steam trains on the beautiful NYMR heritage railway, running from the pretty town of Pickering to the seaside at Whitby and back. There are 150 places on a Saturday train, and 150 places on a Sunday train - so you can choose which you prefer. The return train trip is £40, including ticket and songbook.
As a classic engine steams away, it'll pull our train through beautiful scenery as the ukes are strummed and our voices join together in songs from our provided songbook, and any other music you want to bring on board. Get a cuppa from the buffet car to keep you singing all the way to the lovely port of Whitby, where you'll have ample time for shopping, seeing the sights, and most importantly, fish and chips! On the way back to Pickering, why not try a local real ale or two from the buffet car to keep you in good voice!
Saturday Train - Departs Pickering 9.25am. Arrives Whitby 11.10am. Departs Whitby 2pm. Arrives Pickering 3.40pm
Sunday Train - Departs Pickering 9.30am. Arrives Whitby 11.20am. Departs Whitby 2.00pm. Arrives Pickering 3.40pm
