Lanikai Haleiwa Hawaii Made Solid Koa Soprano Ukulele
This is a Hawaiian made ukulele, hand built on the island of Oahu, manufactured from the archipelago's most famous timber, koa. This gives the uniquely traditional sound, chiming, percussive, lively and full.
This soprano is fitted with Gotoh friction pegs and is fitted by me with Worth Browns. The rosewood fingerboard is nice and smooth with a spacious 36mm nut. The set up is fab too making this one of the easiest ukes I've played.
The tone is lively and loud, yet well balanced. If you hear people talking about what a traditional Hawaiian uke should sound like, then this little lovely is it, and very impressive it is too.
