This striking looking tenor from Cordoba has a number of interesting features that mark it out from many at this price level, including, perhaps most improtantly, the incredible value. Next on the list of impressive features is the wide, 38mm fretboard which is ideal for those of us with 'clumsier' features. Not that this wide neck excludes the more daintily fingered (if schoolchildren can manage classical guitars, then there's no problem for us uke players with this!)

The 15TB-E is a very striking looking instrument indeed, with the laminate bocote body making sure you stand out from the crowd. And while laminate instruments can be a little on the muddy side in terms of sound, this one has some nice body, but also some crispness in the trebles that helps your melodies come through. True, it doesn't sound as good as a £500 ukulele, but a) it isn't £500, b) it stands up very favourably to similarly priced instruments and b) it isn't £500. (The last point I mentioned twice on purpose - the value is excellent).

As well as the wood used, which is undoubtedly the star in the visual stakes, welcome additions are made in the form of cream binding on the body and fingerboard, and an abalone soundhole rosette. It isn't an expensive instrument and it isn't as well finished as that aforementioned £500 uke, but it is neat and tidy and doesn't let itself down compared to other ukes in this price bracket.

In fact, going on about price a little more, The £100-£200 range has always been a bit of a 'no man's land' for me... Not quite the value at the real budget end, yet nothing that really meets the quality level of £200+, so this model is a great option to have in that price category.
