This is the trans-black version of the Flight Pathfinder tenor electro ukulele - a solid body ukulele with steel strings. The flaming on the maple is visible just beneath the gloss black finish, making it look very smart. On the back, there's a slight blush of dark red. All in all, very handsome.

With a low G and steel strings, the Pathfinder is an instrument designed to be plugged in - although there's enough acoustic volume for quiet practice. Plugged in, you get the benefit of a bridge and neck pickup, plus a switch that allows you to use one, the other or both at the same time - and explore the different tones they offer.

The Pathfinder is a very affordable solid body uke and while isn't quite as polished as the European made Risa models, it is a nice and fun instrument, which is capable of some really nice tone. Perfect for experimenting with some effects and rocking out.

It comes equipped with a nice blue padded gig bag. Action and intonation are adjusted before it comes out - they’re a bit wayward when they arrive, but the necessary work is done before they leave (this is not an instrument to buy from a drop-shipping retailer, they MUST go through a workshop process first!)
