The Snail S10T is a good value all solid mahogany ukulele, with lots going for it for what is a very keen price. There's some nice grain in the mahogany used, with some great touches to lift what can be a fairly plain looking wood. The binding is accompanied by orange and yellow purfling, which looks more subtle than it sounds, while the contrasting wood around the soundhole looks pretty too. Add in a slotted headstock with a rosewood veneer and a shiny gloss finish and it looks more expensive than it is.
As you'd expect with an all solid mahogany ukulele, there is some fullness to the tone and a generally warm tone - but the fluorocarbon strings offer a real sparkle alongside this, making the note separation impressive when picked, and giving a chiming quality when strummed.
With a 35mm nut width, this ukulele will be suitable for most players - given it is pretty much an industry average... and in general the Snail S10T feels easy to play and well balanced.
It is supplied with a basic gig bag too.
