Flight Aurora Solid Top Electro Acoustic Baritone Ukulele
The Flight Aurora is one of those instruments that really pleases a ukulele retailer like me. It fills a gap in the market, adding an electro acoustic baritone into the mix with a good quality / price ratio - but it also does that really well. Sometimes you get an instrument that fills a gap and you think, ‘yeah, that’s decent, I like it’, and other times you think, ‘wow, that’s really going to do well because it’s simply a really nice instrument’. The Aurora from Flight Ukuleles is in the latter camp.
This baritone has really nice proportions, with a larger bottom bout, a solid spruce top and laminate rosewood back and sides, both of which look good under a gloss finish. There’s a scooped cutaway too, which gives better access to the upper frets (if you’re feeling adventurous) and simply looks good (if you’re not!). There’s a Double C1U pickup fitted too - which is definitely one of the better sounding pre-fitted units in my opinion - which has tone and volume controls tucked inside the soundhole.
The Flight Aurora baritone comes with a well padded dark red gig bag, has a roomy 38mm nut and comes with Aquila B-Black strings (a change from D’addario, which they used to come with).
For a video demo of the Flight Aurora baritone ukulele you can click additional info below. (Note - I used aNueNue Blue Moon strings in that demo, which are a touch brighter than the stock ones).
For common accessories and customisations (like strap buttons) scroll down to the bottom of the page where you'll be able to add these common items to your basket. This one comes with a gig bag, so you’d don’t need that - and won’t fit a standard hard case. Also, it’s DGBE tuned with low D and low G, so you can ignore the low G add on too.
