This is the C3 from aNueNue, part of their Hawaiian Dream series. This range is a more affordable alternative for those who, understandably, like the company's sound and style, but can't stretch to one of the elite level ukes that have made them famous.

The aNueNue C3 concert ukulele has a satin finish, with a solid mahogany top and laminate back and sides. With aNueNue clear water fluorocarbon strings (which I'm a big fan of) and reliable geared tuners, together with a bone nut and saddle, rosewood fingerboard and bridge and a nice quality gig bag, it has plenty going for it - so the lower price hasn't meant sacrificing lots compared to their premium ukes. Especially in the tone department.

The C3 from aNueNue sounds very good, with a mature tone from the seasoned mahogany top, giving some smoothness and warmth to a tone that still retains a sparkle in the treble department from those fluorocarbon strings. It's got good sustain and volume too. A real winner at its price point.

The nut width of 36mm is comfortable and unchallenging for those who are used to average ukulele necks, and the uke as a whole feels balanced, both in your hands and to your ears, with that sound which mixes both brightness and warmth.
