This is the Enya EUC-MAD all solid mahogany concert ukulele, an attractive and good value instrument, with a very high standard of finish. While mahogany can be a little plain in appearance, the addition of a translucent black stain and gloss finish lifts the look. That black finish, with the natural mahogany, comes out as a deep brown, with the wood grain visible underneath.

The tone of the EUC-MAD is nicely balanced, with the fluorocarbon strings giving a pleasant ring and some pep in the trebles, which marry well with the rounded edge and warmth provided by the all solid mahogany. This concert ukulele has a comfortable 36mm nut width, which is a little thinner than the tenor equivalent in the series, but feels perfectly 'normal' and unchallenging.

There's a gig bag supplied with the EUC-MAD Black concert ukulele, as well as good quality geared tuners and two fitted strap buttons.

Overall, for a concert uke with all solid construction and a really nice finish, it's a really well priced instrument - that just happens to look very smart too.
