What a great package the KCI-90 concert ukulele from Kai is. Great looks with that flamed maple body. A good level of finish and build quality for the price. And even a really good gig bag too. Crucially, it sounds great too, zippy and bright, with lots of sustain, but an impressive bass response too - delivered to you nice and clear through the side soundport.

I could ramble on about this Kai ukulele, but I’ll keep it concise. It is well worth the money and more. It sounds like something double the price. It is all laminate, but proves that well made laminates can pack a punch. I can’t imagine anyone regretting getting a KCI-90. They’re real game changers as something this inexpensive shouldn’t sound this good!

It has reliable geared tuners, and is fitted with clear strings. They’re a bit of a mystery but I think they may be D’addario Titanium (that’s just a name, there’s no titanium in them!) Anyway, they’re slick and give great volume. The gig bag is well padded and nicely done too - worth £20 on its own.
