Right from the off I am going to point out that the Uma UK-30SC Evo concert ukulele has no business being this price… it should be more. I’ve checked my invoice more than once to make sure it’s right! It looks lovely, with the golden hues of nicely figured solid acacia making up the body, with a classy maple soundhole decoration, gloss finish, and some abalone binding for those who like a bit of extra sparkle.

The Uma, which comes equipped with a good quality gig bag, also features light-feeling fluorocarbon strings, a slotted headstock with good quality geared tuners and a rosewood fingerboard.

Unlike some all solid acacia instruments, which can be quite muted, subtle and not over-loud, this one packs a little more punch, retaining that sweetness you’d associate with this wood choice, but still projecting well with plenty of volume.
