The Pono ATD tenor ukulele is part of the company’s deluxe series, which features all solid tonewood and a high gloss finish. They are characterised by the consistency and neatness of production, with an immaculate finish and high quality fittings.

One peculiarity of the range, which also includes solid mango and mahogany models, is how close this solid acacia ukulele is in tone to the others - a sound that is sweet, with some pleasant warmth coming through. Because they are quite similar, this one is the most popular, as it is the most attractive (well, it certainly looks the part - other people’s personal tastes may be different to mine!)

This ATD has Ko’Olau strings fitted, and an ebony fingerboard, bridge and faceplate. The neck is very smooth, and on the fuller side, ideal for those who like a palm-filling neck. Good quality Grover brand open geared tuners are fitted too.

Lots of people love Pono ukuleles, and you can certainly understand why with the very high quality of the build, which really is first class.
