Millar Custom All Solid Cherry Ukulele
This is an all solid soprano ukulele, made from cherry. It was built by Millar’s head luthier to try out a new supplier of cherry. So what you have here is a luthier-made instrument, at a brilliant price, basically because it was a trial. This is a lovely, sweet sounding uke. There’s lots of volume and a great chiming quality and plenty of sustain. I think you can say, the trial was successful. (In fact, this cherry has gone into production on a special project commissioned by me and Southern Ukulele Store, so I can back that statement up!).
This is a satin finish instrument, with Der Jung geared tuners, Worth Browns and a 35mm nut width.
At the bottom of the page, beneath the photos, you’ll find some optional extras. While standard to every ukulele on the site, all of them potentially apply to this Millar custom soprano ukulele. There’s no case or bag with this - so those options are available. You can also add a strap button or two if you need one. There’s also the option to add a low G. I am not really a fan of low G on a soprano - but if you want to do it, go for the Fremont option - as the wound string doesn’t sound as ‘floppy’ on a small uke like this.
