Millar SP-210MN All Solid Spruce and Rosewood Soprano Ukulele
This all solid Millar SP-210MN has an Englemann spruce top and Bolivian rosewood back and sides. These are separated by mahogany binding for a very classy look. Around the soundhole is an abalone soundhole decoration which livens things up. With a matt finish, this little soprano has a nice, traditional feel.
Fitted to the SP-210MN are D'addario J53 black nylon strings, which have a pretty, perky tone - again, quite traditional-sounding, with a bit of old-school bark and a pleasant chime. There's decent volume too. All in all an ideal ukulele for old time, smooth tunes.
The SP-210MN from Millar is fitted with Der Jung geared tuners, which are smooth and effective.
The body of the Millar is quite thin, arching from 4cm it its thinnest, to 4.8cm at the thickest point. This makes it nice and light and sprightly! With a 35mm nut, it feels perfectly 'normal' to play - which sounds like a strange thing to say. Let's call it familiar and unchallenging.
