B-STOCK Ohana Custom Shop DB-STM Solid Spruce and Myrtle Baritone Ukulele
This is an instrument that hasn’t been previously owned. It does however have some hairline scratches on the top. I have tried and tried and they just disappear in photos. Unless you get the light and angle right, you can’t see them - and if you then take a picture, beause of the pale nature of the bearclaw spruce, it just doesn’t show up! However, they are there, just a few, and not serious. I have included a significant discount here as I am selling something as b-stock and can’t show you why it is b-stock. With this reduction, you can’t fail, I promose, to think, ‘what? is that it?’ when you inspect it. It’s nothing to worry about!
This is an Ohana Custom Shop instrument, made in California by their luthier Brad. It has a solid spruce top and solid myrtle back and sides, with a maple neck. The strings are D’addario (D and G, wound) and Worth (B and E, unwound), with excellent geared tuners and a 38mm nut width.
The sound is rich and controlled, with the spruce giving a crisp nature, backed up with rolling depth from the large body. It is supplied in a hard case.
It’s a significant thing! It’s on the heavier side - a ‘muscular uke’, you might call it, but very playable and resonant.
