I have a couple of these brand new ukuleles - which are (sort of) discontinued. Kiwaya are going to use the ‘Famous’ brand name they use domestically on these models in future. So they’ll carry on, but the name on the headstock will change.

This is a laminate mahogany concert ukulele, made in Japan, with a 37mm nut width and geared tuners. (The G in the KC-1G name stands for geared.) There’s plenty of volume - with a more crisp tone than you might get with a solid mahogany instrument. Kiwaya are great at laminates - getting plenty of sustain out of them.
