NICE FRIDAY - Free Octopus Soprano Ukulele
I don’t like Black Friday. I thought I would do something nice instead. I have purchased 24 soprano ukuleles from Octopus, for people who are suffering from loneliness, financial hardship or mental health problems.
This doesn’t have to be you (although that’s fine too). Perhaps you know someone in one of these situations and would like to gift them one. I trust you to find the right homes for these ukuleles, and hopefully spread a bit of kindness.
The uke itself is an Octopus Academy soprano - a really nice instrument for the price. It includes a gig bag and access to some online materials to help people learn. Purchased directly from Octopus in the UK this would cost, with shipping £29.50.
Now - here’s the only caveat. I have set the price at the exact price it costs me to send it - at £6.50. That’s the only cost if you would like one, or want one to give to someone. The uke itself doesn’t cost anything - I will take on that cost myself.
I would prefer to keep this offer as one per customer. But if you have a need for two - perhaps two children, as an example - then two is OK. I am operating this offer on trust - and am sure you will do the right thing! If you would like to receive one, from the dropdown list below choose the ‘a uke to send to me’ option.
During the pandemic I had this same sort of offer, and soon after sending out my initial 24 ukes, people started to ask if they could donate one. They didn’t need one and didn’t know anyone who wanted one - but they did want to pay for one, so that I could donate it to someone else. Just like I trust people only to get one if they have a need for it - they trusted me to use their money to buy another so that I can add one to my stock for someone in need. There is the option to do that here. You can choose, from the dropdown below, the ‘donate a uke to someone else’ option. I’ll get more stock in if there are donations, and keep the offer option to others. I have made the price there £20.15 - the exact amount that it costs me (with VAT - the government will get their money - there’s no avoiding that, nice scheme or not!)
If you do choose to donate one, my website will prompt you for a shipping address. Don’t worry about that, I wont send anything - just use your billing address.
I am sorry, I can ONLY do this in the UK, due to the cost of shipping.
Black Friday… urgh. Let’s spread some kindness instead.
(There’s a video of me talking about this scheme if you click additional info below)
