This is a brand new instrument. It has a ding on the back, and on the side. They’re not too bad - in that they’re not deep - but they look bad. The one on the side is quite large, but totally smooth - so it’s not broken the finish.

I figured I could send it back, or just pass it on to someone who didn’t mind these marks, in exchange for a discount.
