This is a one off, brand new instrument. I had got one in for a customer and got another for stock, but by the time I came to advertise it, I could see it was discounted by a box shifting company that masquerades as a ukulele specialist. I am therefore just dumping it at the same price as them.

Baritones are tricky to get to play nicely without buzzing and I put a lot of work into getting these Flight baritones playing slickly and buzz-free. If I am then asked why my price is higher, or worse, asked to price match someone who just whacks the box on a van and washes their hands of it? It just doesn’t work for me. My model is not about price, it’s about quality. You might pay a little more sometimes (but not always), but you will get something that plays well. If there’s a ukulele that I like, like this, but that I can’t compete with on price and still pay for all the extra time that goes into it? Well - I just have to move on to something else that fits my quality first model.

I can’t afford to invest time promoting an instrument, making demo videos, taking my own photos and talking to customers about the uke, then set it up, level frets, lower the action, address the nut… to do all that and compete with a box shifter with copy and paste descriptions and stock photos and no interest in ukuleles other than to try and make a quick buck of what they see as a quick-fix, money-making flash-in-the-pan trend. That’s not the way I operate and if these people get their way, there’ll be no specialists left. Rant over.

This is an all solid ukulele, with maple top and rosewood back and sides, an active pickup, 38mm nut width, geared tuners and a good quality gig bag.
