This is a brand new instrument - an experiment from Millar’s custom shop. They got a set of cherry wood and decided to make a soprano with it to see how it came out. It came out very well! It’s got a sweet sound, a lovely chime, and plenty of volume from its petite body.

The cherry has been given a dark stain and the uke has a satin finish.

It’s tricky with something like this… I have so many video demos still to make, for ukes that are current models (that will continue to be produced), that finding time to make one for this one-off handmade uke is going to be tricky. It’s going to require someone to take a punt on it on my recommendation. Hopefully over the years I have earned a reputation as someone who is honest in their assessments! I really think this is a lovely little uke, that sounds fab. It’s been handmade in Taiwan by a small family business who are so enthusiastic about what they do… I think someone will be thrilled with this if they take the chance!
