This instrument was owned for a few weeks only before the customer decided they wanted something with a brighter sound. They'd initially asked for advice on a uke in high G, with a warm, mellow, relaxed tone. With the Kai having an all solid acacia body (which has a mellow warmth), and nylon strings, I suggested this one. However, the customer found it too warm and relaxed for their ears after all. It is as new, barely used at all. I could put it back on the shelf as a new one, but by the time of the customer's call, I had already replaced it with a new one - so there's no space on that shelf.

I like a bit of projection and clarity in my ukes. Warm and relaxed may describe my personality (hehe), but not my ukulele tone preferences. If this looks a good deal and you're with me on the sound front, some fluorocarbon strings will give this more power and brightness. If you order a set with it, I'll put them on. But, if warmth is your thing, this is a good deal.
