This is a new, but B-Stock instrument. The side of the fingerboard around the lower frets is a bit ragged. It’s not sharp and has been finished, and I didn’t actually notice, playing it - but once I’d spotted it, it was very obvious. I have used this ukulele as an experiment to use some Living Water cuatro tuning strings I was sent (in error, I’m doing well here aren’t I!)

These are GCEA tuning so you can play ukulele chords but… the A is low rather than high. Traditional chord shapes still work but you have a deeper, more ‘baritone’ sound, without changing away from regular uke chords. It’s unusual to have a low A on the top, but it’s very interesting when picking in particular. Overall it gives a deeper sound than GCEA on a baritone AND avoids having a high A on a baritone scale which is at the limit of what you can achieve with that long scale - and often breaks.

The KA-ASCP-B is an all solid baritone ukulele, with a tight-grained cedar top and back and sides made from attractive pau ferro - which has similar tonal qualities to rosewood.

There’s a video demo of this instrument (the exact one) if you click additional info below.

It has a satin finish, geared tuners and a 38mm nut width.

It doesn’t have strap buttons. They can be added here.

It doesn’t have a gig bag. That can be added here.
