This is a brand new uke, bought by me at a discount (well a few of them actually), and I am passing the discount on. It’s designed as a starter pack, so you get the tenor ukulele, a clip on tuner a booklet with some songs in and online lessons via the Kala app.

In effect, this is a Kala KA-T ukulele, a decent laminate mahogany tenor uke, with Aquila strings, geared tuners and a 35mm nut. It also comes with a bag. And it’s very pretty with the decoration, designed by the US singer/songwriter’s sister. I confess I didn’t know who Mandy was, but don’t think that matters. And she won’t know who I am either. I don’t know a young successful American artist, and she doesn’t know an old, clapped-out Northern ukulele peddlar. Fair’s fair.

What drew me in to this was the bargain price and I think that’s what should draw you in too - with a decent uke, a bag and a tuner, it’s a great price for this kit. It could be a spare uke for the car, something to take on holiday, something for someone after something decent on a lower budget, a uke you don’t mind getting a bump at a club night, or a nice gift for someone who wants to start.
