USED Ken Timms Handmade All Solid Mahogany Soprano Ukulele
This is a used ukulele. It was built by Ken Timms in 2024, from all solid mahogany. Ken has a great reputation for building vintage Martin inspired instruments. The condition is good, there are a few tiny tool marks (probably on from the start).
These instruments are highly sought after and don’t seem to lose value. They’re hard to get hold of and are a firm favourite with fans of vintage style ukes and old time music. It has a 37mm nut width and friction tuners.
I have listed a price, but a ‘new’ price. These instruments were commonly sold as auctions, so the final price was determined by what people would pay at the time.
A Ken Timms model received 9.6 out of 10 on the Got A Ukulele website. It’s distinctly ‘vintage’, which isn’t my vibe, but if you like your old school tunes it’s great. This is a newer model than reviewed there, with a slightly extended fretboard.
This one comes with a hard case of sorts - it’s an old case, very in keeping with the aesthetic, and in decent condition for a vintage case, with a lightweight construction and leatherette exterior.
