This is a beautiful looking custom concert ukulele made in California by Kala’s US luthier team. It is made from very high grade, particularly beautiful koa. It is also fitted with an LR Baggs five.o active pickup - a professional level bit of kit, plus it is supplied in a hard case. The condition is excellent too, with no marks or scratches. It’s been owned, but the owner never used it… so pre-owned is more accurate.

This model is a one-off, with a gloss finish (apart from the neck, which is satin). It also has a wider neck (38mm) than most concert ukuleles, and a fuller, rounded neck profile, making it ideal for players with larger hands.

It was made in 2016, and over time there has been a little ‘belly bulge’ develop, where the tension on the strings has caused a minor bulge below the bridge - which is hard to see but can be noticed if you feel the top or place a straight edge over it. It’s been like this for many years, the bridge is sound and not lifting and it’s quite natural in a ukulele that’s a little older - and no cause for concern.

It is fitted with fluorocarbon strings, with a high G.
