This is a used ukulele in excellent condition. It has been fitted recently with aNueNue Green Planet strings and it gives it a really nice sound, bright but with the ‘edge’ of the natural spruce softened slightly, with a good projection. A really pretty sounding uke.

It’s tricky with this model as the specification of Pono’s Pro Classic series wasn’t always entirely clear. Searhc ATSH-PC (as is in the label) and you’ll find ukes with an acacia top. Search ATSH(C)-PC and you’ll find some with a cedar top and some with an acacia top! So let’s just say this is an all solid cedar and acacia uke. And a handsome one at that.

The reduction in price seems very significant, but to be honest the regular price was, in my opinion too high. It was to get even higher (the reason you can’t get Pono in the UK anymore - it just became to expensive). Anyway, I think this is a great deal but maybe not quite the mega-bargain the price suggests!

At one point Pono started sending their ukes out in terrible, TERRIBLE dust covers. This has one. But… if your house is dusty, then the ‘gig bag’ will help. I mean it’s better than nothing. JUST.
