VINTAGE Bruko Maple Soprano Ukulele
This is an old ukulele, probably from the 70s or 80s, with a solid maple body and maple neck. It has been through the mill a bit, with plenty of knocks and scratches, but it all works and has a quirky sound (The Bruko plonk, it’s known about). The friction pegs are pretty stiff but they work. It has a sticker on the front of the same vintage as the uke, from the shop that sold it originally.
I put the ‘new’ price as what Bruko were charging for a uke when they went out of business last year. But it obviously didn’t cost that 30-40 years ago, but gives a guide.
This uke was made in Germany.
Often with things like this I’m asked what the action and intonation is like, and the quality of the tuners. This is not a modern instrument and none of those things are great. If you are thinking that way, I think you’re in the wrong place. If you think of this as a playable piece of history, and admire its retro vibes and coolness - then by all means go ahead. It works, it plays, it’s not amazing, but then it’s really great looking!
I can’t send anything from the special offers section to the EU, sorry.
