I have got a small number of these wireless systems in as the distributor is closing down. As a result, while brand new, they are reduced.

What are they? Instead of plugging your electro or electro-acoustic ukulele into an amplifier, PA system or DI box with a cable, you can instead use this system, which has two small units with a jack plug on the end. The one marked transmitter goes into your uke, the one marked receiver, into your amp. With no big walls or anything between the uke and the amp, the signal is transmitted without latency for up to 70 feet. Unless you’re playing stadium gigs then it is unlikely you’ll need to be that far away! But still, it frees you up from having to have cables running between amp and instruments.

A protective carrying case, with moulded inserts to protect the unit, is included (usually sold separately at additional cost). The units are rechargeable and on a full charge should take 5 hours or so of continuous use. (There are reports it will last up to 8 hours). They’re USB rechargeable and a cable for that is included.

I have described them as a wireless ukulele system but they’re technically wireless guitar systems - but work just as well with ukes. I think there are some issues with some types of guitar pickup so there’s been a lot of debate about what it is compatible with. But I have tested it here with various types with no issues.

(Just for info, what I tested it with… A Mi-Si, an LR-Baggs, active pickups with a control panel and built in tuner, Double C1U, an Enya Acoustic Plus pickup, and Kala and Flight passive pickups. I tried it with every electro acoustic uke I could find and didn’t find one that didn’t work with.

They also work with guitars and bass.

It was a bit tricky to find the regular price as some people advertise it (without the case) at a similar price, but there’s delivery on top. Others, like Bax Music, for £129 bundled with the case. And the likes of Amazon, at £105 without case. I’ve gone for £129 as the ‘regular price’, reduced here to £89.

I know lots of people who use these and enjoy the freedom of them, being able to move around, move into the audience etc. I used them myself for a while in the band but found I’d wander off on stage and then suddenly realise I was about to have to come in on backing vocals and was 10 feet way from the mic… but I am sure you can be more disciplined!
