This Baton Rouge V2-T is similar to a number of models in specification and price, but for me, the slightly arched back gives it the edge over other tenor ukes at this level. With a touch more volume, and a mellow edge to the tone, the sound produced seems to possess a but more complexity and finesse - despite the fairly plain, but neat appearance.

The laminate mahogany is subtle but nicely streaked and the laser edged sun motif adds a bit of panache. It has reliable geared tuners and Aquila strings - plus the 37mm nut width gives a little extra room on the fretboard which can be useful particularly for those starting out with the ukulele who may struggle with some chords which require more than two frets at the same time, otherwise.

At this level, the Baton Rouge V2-T is hard to beat.
