This sleek, modern looking tenor ukulele is the Enya EUT-MG6. It’s made from all solid mango, and very pretty mango at that. With a gloss finish, attractive headstock, intricate binding and soundhole rosette and a florentine cutaway, it is a uke designed to be seen.

The EUT-MG6 is equipped with D’addario Titanium strings, nylon strings that add a softness to the tone. There’s a delicate shimmer in the sound it produces, with a gentle warmth and island vibe that’s not explosive, but is very pretty.

Enya have really been making advances in recent years, making inroads into the mid-range ukulele market. And with fantastic finish and build quality, you can see why, of all the brands that started out dealing with Amazon, they’re the ones that have taken things seriously enough to be considered by serious ukulele retailers too.

The nut width of the Enya EUT-MG6 is 38mm, a roomy neck ideal for those who like a bit more room to manouvre. As is common with most Enya ukes (despite the lies peddled by ‘celebrity’ YouTubers), the action is on the conservatively high side. Action isn’t everything but these have come to me with a 3.5mm action at the 12th fret which I find uncomfortable. You’ll find, if you click additional info below, a video demo of the EUT-MG6 - in which I am playing one where I lowered the action to a much more comfortable 2.5mm (something I’ll attend to with every uke - you don’t need to ask). I had to do it before I could play it with any comfort to be honest. So don’t believe what you hear!
