This is the purple, or perhaps more accurately, lilac version of the popular Enya Nova U pro tenor ukulele. This is a polycarbonate and carbon fibre blend, used to make a slimline acoustic tenor ukulele, with metal frets (unlike the concert equivalent).

These instruments sound much better than you might imagine, given what they are made of… perhaps not quite as loud as a wooden uke would be, but quite full sounding, with a bit of warmth in the mix too - in part from the materials and in part from the D’addario Titanium strings that are fitted.

The Enya Nova U pro has a 38mm nut width and is supplied with a semi-rigid case, as well as a little bag of accessories including a capo and some strings, plus a strap. It has strap buttons fitted as well.

I find the action on every one of these instruments too high. I lower every one. I am pointing that out as the saddle is made from the same material as the body and it is rock hard! So I have to really put some work into lowering that string height! Worth it though. You can almost certainly find this cheaper elsewhere. If you want to set it up yourself, everything else is very consistent. But if you can go for a little extra expense, get it from me and I’ll do it for you!

I don’t know if I like the purple one or not, it is perhaps an acquired taste, but for the money, they really aren’t bad at all!
