This is the KLOS Deluxe hybrid carbon fibre tenor electro ukulele, a great-sounding uke made from a mixture of carbon fibre and a composite material which makes it very strong, but also gives a really interesting tone. This deluxe version has upgraded Graphtech tuners and the addition of a Fishman Kula pickup, which has tone and volume controls and a built in tuner, with a control panel mounted on the side. The ukulele comes with a well made, but lightly padded gig bag. Given the material it is made of is very tough, that’s probably protection enough!

The sound these KLOS ukes deliver is a combination of sweetness and mellow warmth - without one of those two factors overly dominating the other. It’s clear enough for nice melodies and warm enough for gentle, rich strumming that’s really very pretty.

This ukulele has a Graptech nut and saddle, engineered wood fingerboard and a 35mm nut width.

I haven’t done a video demo of this deluxe version, as it sounds the same as the regular version to my ears. The nut and saddle are different and described as an upgrade but I can’t say I can really hear the difference they make. The main difference is the addition of a pickup, which sounds great through a nice amp (and fairly average through a rubbish amp), so a demo of the electrics is a little redundant as I could make it sound fantastic through great kit! At the bottom of the page there are some common extras like a hard case or a low G fitting. This one comes with a gig bag and has two buttons fitted as standard (so you don’t need those!)
