Millar TK-260W All Solid Cypress and Rosewood Tenor Ukulele
This Taiwanese made Millar TK-260W uses native Taiwanese cypress, a wood that shares lots of qualities with cedar (including relationships in the species - but I'm not a botanist, so lets just say they're similar!). The TK-2addito60W pairs this solid top with solid back and sides made from rosewood, with a gloss finish.
The tone is nicely balanced and beautifully smooth - with the seasoned tonewood issuing forth some lovely, complex tones and harmonics. It excels with chord melody, particularly sweet-sounding when picking with the pad of your thumb, but adept when strumming to.
The TK-260W has Worth clear strings and very attractive aged gold effect tuners on the stylish slotted headstock.
Like all the other Millar ukes, there's a 35mm, comfortable, familiar-feeling nut and a nicely balanced playing experience.
