Millar TM-260 All Solid Mahogany Tenor Ukulele
The Millar TM-260 tenor ukulele is a matt finish, all-solid mahogany tenor ukulele - with a no frills appearance but a fantastic, warm, rich sound. While mahogany is plain as wood goes, it has a pleasant grain in this case, but that's the only thing to look at really - no binding or decoration. But then you play it. Wow.
The tone is strong, loud, rich and sustains well. It has black nylon strings which are soft and full-sounding, paired with a wound C - which gives a great bottom end. It's so full sounding, it's just lovely.
The TM-260 from Millar is nice to play, feels well balanced and light and with good quality geatred tuners. Apart from the sound there's not a lot to write home about but the next time I'm on holiday, I'll be sending myself postcards about the gorgeous tone.
To sum up the Millar TM-260 tenor ukulele I'd say it looks like a £200 ukulele and sounds like a £500 one.
