UKE Magazine Issue 29 - March 2022
Issue 29 of UKE Magazine is March 2022’s edition of Europe's most popular magazine for ukulele players. A full colour, 60 page, beautifully designed and printed magazine packed with tutorials, advice, interviews and gear reviews. UKE Magazine was established in 2015 and has been going from strength to strength ever since.
In this issue we’ll look back on George Hinchliffe’s time with The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain, covering his highlights with the band, views on the ukulele’s popularity and hearing his tips and advice for improving your own ukulele playing. We also talk to Christopher Davis Shannon about his love of jazz and his desire to recreate the music of the 20s speakeasy scene.
We’ll be looking at some ukulele maintenance too, with a step by step guide to identifying and resolving buzzing on your fretboard, and talk to award-winning uke artist Christopher Trietsch about building his own ukulele. There are songs and techniques to learn too, plus the latest installment of our theory series, where Mike Haysom looks at understanding 7th chords.
As ever, there are plenty of reviews of the latest and greatest ukuleles, plus an array of ukulele features from around the world.
