Fremont Black Line ukulele strings are made from fluorocarbon in Japan. As the name suggests, they are black in colour.

So many fluorocarbon strings are quite similar… but these definitely have a point of difference over plenty of others in the fact they have a warm tone, with a slightly shortened sustain, to produce an effective reproduction of a vintage ukulele’s tone.

It’s never great ‘marketing speak’ to say things have more ‘twang’, but to be honest, that pretty much sums these up! Great for players of old time music who want a good representation of how ukuleles sounded in the olden days.

The soprano/concert pack fits either a soprano or a concert uke. There are also sets for tenor, with high G sets and a set with an unwound low G.
