One size fits all with these Kiwaya KFC fluorocarbon strings. Calling them ‘KFC’ makes me want to say ‘finger-picking good’, in honour of the American fast food chain, but that would be a terrible joke, so I won’t. However, it would be apt because they’re very clear and articulate with a bright, resonant nature. (When I say apt, I mean because they’re ideal for picking, not because they’re made from a secret blend of herbs and spices…)

The Kiwaya KFC strings are used on their Student Series models, and are part of the reason why those laminate instruments really stand out for their chiming qualities when strummed, and clarity when picked. They’ll work on a soprano, concert or tenor (so are handy as you can keep one spare set for any of your regular ukes).

These strings are available for high G or low G tuning (the low G has a fluorocarbon, unwound G string). Each is a full set, and suitable for soprano, concert or tenor ukes.
