Worth Ukulele Strings, Brown and Clear, Soprano, Concert, Tenor, Baritone
Worth ukulele strings are made in Japan from fluorocarbon, in two types - Brown and Clear. The differences between the two are subtle, with the browns tending to add a little warmth, and the clears adding a little brightness. However, in both cases, they sound great and that warmth/brightness factor isn’t the final story (i.e. there’s brightness in the browns and warmth in the clears too!).
An important thing to note is that Worth Strings are sold in double lengths. That’s why they’re twice as expensive as regular sets, you get twice as much string… two sets for the price of two! You cut them in half and keep the other halves as spares.
Available here are strings for soprano/concert, for tenor, for baritone, and single (double length) unwound low G’s. The tenor sets are available in low G format too - while other sets for soprano, concert and tenor are high G. The baritone sets are DGBE and all of the strings are unwound.
