This is a new baritone, but one with a small chip in the neck. That chip is visible, and you can feel it on the back of the neck - but it’s smooth and doesn’t affect your playing - only in that you can feel a slight ding there.

It’s a real shame. I had a customer who was very particular about action height, wanting it as low as possible. I was explaining that his was difficult to achieve with a baritone but I’d do my best. And it tuned out my best was very good - with a buzz free 2.25mm at the 12th. Hurray, I thought, slapping myself on the back. Boo! I shouted (or possibly worse) when at that point, just about to go in its box and on its way, I noticed the ding. Aaargh!

The customer had requested re-entrant tuning, using Ukes with Alex strings, which are on. So it currently has DGBE tuning with a high D. If you’d rather have a low D, after ordering just reply to the order confirmation email to let me know and I’ll pop pop one on.
