Millar's SP-240W is a really impressive sounding all solid concert ukulele, with a clear, loud and interesting voice. With solid spruce on the top, and very attractive solid acacia on the back and sides, it has that sprucey punch you'd expect, but with plenty of fullness too, ensuring the sound isn't brittle, but lustrous and, frankly, great.

The SP-240W has rope binding in ebony and maple separating the top from the sides, around the soundhole and around the rosewood faced headstock. This all comes together to look classy and attractive, without ever looking gaudy.

The 35mm nut is unchallenging and familiar, with a flattened neck profile as the neck meets the headstock, a comfortable and innovative solution to giving your thumb a good anchor point when playing chords at the bottom end. High quality gold geared tuners are fitted, with black buttons, and there's a bone nut and saddle, rosewood fingerboard and Worth Strings fitted.

The tone is lively and bright, with interesting harmonics and a chest-warming shimmer that fills out behind the punchiness of the spruce top. It is especially adept further up the neck, where the drop-off in volume is minimal, giving it great performance for those wishing to attempt more challenging pieces.
