SHIPPING INFORMATION

Timescales

I keep on top of orders so dispatch is rapid. I only advertise what I have in stock so what you order is always available - and I usually get orders out on the next working day after ordering. In the UK, DHL’s next working day service is used (they send you tracking info and usually an hour’s delivery window. I also ship overseas (see below for seperate info).

Safety

I always use couriers who are reputable and reliable and issues with instruments being damaged are incredibly rare. Strong boxes are used, with instruments sent without cases or bags always double-boxed. In all cases packaging is probably excessive! Better to be safe than sorry… Deliveries are insured, so IF anything is damaged it is my responsibility to replace the item, not yours.

Special Requests

World of Ukes is a small, flexible business. So if you’d like delivery on a specific weekday (in the UK), let me know. If you order, you will get an order confirmation by email… you can reply to that to give any instructions about delivery.

Overseas Orders

Mosy EU countries have free shipping over the value of £200, with DHL. This includes your tax and duty being paid. So you pay the price on the website and that’s all (just like before Brexit). If your order is under £200, you will need to add shipping to your basket with the ukulele you order. (Small items have shipping costs noted separately so this only applies to ukuleles). Shipping is not automatically added at the checkout. You can add that here - Add EU Shipping

There are exceptions, Greece and Cyprus governments levy large charges and shipping costs are outrageous - so I am afraid I can’t ship to these countries. (For example, a Nova U tenor ukulele costs £170 in shipping in charges. At a price of £225, it is not possible for me to do this).

US customers have free shipping over the value of £400, with FedEx. This includes your tax and duty being paid. So you pay the price on the website and that’s all. My prices do include VAT (sales tax), which when sending to the US I don’t have to pay. I use that portion of your payment towards shipping instead. In cases where your order is high enough (over $800) where you would have to pay import tax in the US, I use the VAT element of my price to pay your import tax. So in all cases you only pay what is on my website. FedEx are extremely fast and reliable, virtually always delivering within 3 working days of dispatch. If your order is under £400, you will need to add shipping to your basket with the ukulele you order. (Small items have shipping costs noted separately so this only applies to ukuleles). Shipping is not automatically added at the checkout. The price is £25, which is subsidised by the VAT element in my price - so I am using the VAT element of my price to make the shipping cost lower. You can add that here - Add US Shipping

Australia and Canada customers have free shipping over the value of £400, with FedEx. My prices do include VAT (sales tax), which when sending to the to your country I don’t have to pay. I use that portion of your payment towards shipping instead. However, you will be charged import tax on the value of your order when it arrives. In the case that the shipping cost is less than the amount of VAT included in my price, I will provide a refund for the excess. Shipping takes around 4 working days to Canada, and a week on average to Australia. If you order is under £400, please contact me for a shipping quote.

Customers from other countries, please contact me for a quote in advance of ordering. Over £400 and the free shipping option is likely to be available - but there are exceptions.
