It might be the end for Pono in the UK. This year they’re scheduled to increase their prices by 33% - this on the back of a couple of price rises in recent years. Those prices are just too high for me, and I suspect for the UK distributor too. Their last Pono stock has been made available at a special offer price to me - a big discount indeed. So I am passing that on, for what might be the last chance to snap up one of these big bad boys.

The BN4-2 is, in effect, a tenor guitar modified to take nylon strings. It has a 23” scale, a 35mm nut width and D’addario nyltech strings. It’s big, bold, warm, rich and mellow - but a mellowness that never lets the big bass sound overtake - with nice clarity on the top strings too.

This one is the cedar and mahogany version, supplied with a nicely padded gig bag.
