From UKE Magazine issue 33, Lil Rev has made a video here to illustrate the Lonnie Johnson style blues he talks about in his article. Please note, the 1st pass through is the exact transcription of the solo. Following that he goes into other variations of playing a Pre-War Style D blues on the baritone, tipping his hat to Lonnie Johnson, Leroy Carr and George Formby (Fan Stroke).

In the Riffs article in UKE Magazine Issue 32, it was mentioned that a good way to start coming up with riffs is experimentation, using scales, and a backing track. Use some notes from the scale in a repeated pattern, with the backing track in place so you can hear how it would sound when you’re joined by other musicians.

As mentioned in the Riffs article in Issue 32 of UKE Magazine, here is a recording of an early performance by Ukes Akimbo, the ukulele group in Brampton, Cumbria. They are using Andy Webster’s arrangement of Chasing Cars, by Snow Patrol - with the group playing the riff together at the beginning.
